CDC is partnering with four national-level organizations to support up to 300 community-based organizations across the nation to increase vaccination coverage and confidence in communities of color.
The Vaccine Equity and Access Program, a national program that supports community-based organizations led by and working with people of color to facilitate information about, and access to, vaccines as part of a broader effort to reduce vaccination disparities, specifically in influenza and COVID-19 vaccination rates.
This funding opportunity – with potential to dedicate up to $200M over five years to increase COVID-19 and influenza vaccination coverage among adults in racial and ethnic groups – marks a milestone in the agency’s history, as a pioneering approach for working with national partners to fund and directly support as many as 300 CBOs across the nation.
