On March 13, NACCHO hosted a 90-minute webinar that provided a basic understanding of animals’ decontamination in radiation incidents. Additionally, the webinar described how public health and partners agencies can work together to identify priority planning actions for the decontamination and the monitoring of animals in radiation incidents.
The webinar recording is now available.
The webinar helps participants to:
- Describe the hazards and responder risk associated with animal decontamination capabilities.
- Discuss the federal, state, tribal, territorial, local, and non-governmental roles in supporting the animal decontamination missions.
- Identify priority public health planning actions for the decontamination and the monitoring of animals in Community Reception Centers (CRCs).
