On September 22, 2020, NACCHO hosted a webinar to provide an overview of CDC’s new, free Law and Epidemic Emergency Preparedness (LEEP) online training. The training aims to improve understanding of the use of law during a large-scale communicable disease response by examining the legal underpinnings of emergency preparedness and response systems, what actions are authorized, and how to minimize legal barriers to an effective large-scale communicable disease response.
During the webinar, speakers from CDC’s Public Health Law Program and the Washington State Department of Health introduced the goals and objectives of the self-paced, e-learning course; provided a demo of how to navigate the course modules; and offered examples of how the course has been practically applied.
The webinar recording and presentation slides are now available.
