The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) at the CDC released its 42nd annual report on trends in the health of the nation. The report features trends and current information on health status and determinants, health care utilization, health care resources, and health care expenditures.
In addition to the chartbook, supplemental online-only trend tables are available, which include data on suicide, illicit drug use, leisure time, physical activity, hospital stays, and more. NACCHO CEO Lori Tremmel Freeman was quoted in a HealthDay article entitled Report Finds Americans’ Health is Flagging.
