The 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially began June 1 and ends on November 30. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has announced its initial outlook for both the 2023 Atlantic and Pacific Hurricane Season. There is a 40% probability of a near-normal Atlantic Hurricane Season, with 12-17 named storms and 1-4 major hurricanes predicted. The Central Pacific will see a 50% probability of above-normal tropical cyclone activity during the Central Pacific Hurricane Season this year.
